General information
The tournament takes place at the at École Normale Supérieure (45 rue d’Ulm) from april 11th to 13nd 2020.
Paris Go Tournament is one of the European Grand Prix tournaments with Bonus Point Level C. It gives one qualificative place to Grand Prix Final and 8, 6, 4, 2 et 1 points to the 5 first european eligible players.
All players, including those who have already paid, must present themselves at the tournament venue before noon on april 11th to confirm their participation in the first round.
Neither smoking nor drinking alcohol is permitted at the tournament venue.

Fees
The standard registration fee is €35, if paid in advance. The fee for juniors (those under 18 years old the first day of the tournament) is €25. The fee is increased by €10 if the payment is made after April 5th 2020.
To avoid bank charges, players outside the Eurozone can pay at the door the presale fee if they are preregistered online before April 5th.
There is no fee for players ranked 6d or stronger if registered before January 31st, 2020.

Rules
The tournament is a six-round McMahon hanicap-1 go tournament. Games will be played according to French rules. Each player will be given 1 hour 30 minutes with canadian byo-yomi of 5 minutes for 15 stones. White has a komi of 7.5 points.
Players resident in France must have a “competition” membership of the French Go Federation. Foreign players should be member of their national Go federation.
Players have to fill and sign the result sheet at the end of their game and put it in the result box provided for this purpose.
The 16 strongest players will play the top group and compete for the annouced prices. All games in the top group are played without handicap.
The player taking White will choose where the clock is placed, unless that player arrives late. You may start the clock if your oponent is absent at the scheduled beginning of the round.
Forfeit will be declared after one hour for any player not present at their game. The forfeited player is automatically unregistered for the following rounds unless he or she contacts tournament officials to re-register.
